What is a Conventional Boiler?

A Conventional Boiler or Heat Only Boiler is the most common and oldest type of Boilers.

It is installed with an additional cold water tank in the loft which supplies the water to the hot water storage tank in order to fulfil the high demand of hot water at the premises. If your hot water consumption is high then a Conventional Boiler is a suitable option for you.

Working of a Conventional Boiler

Comprising of a vented Hot Water Cylinder, a Cold Water Storage tank and an additional hot water tank, conventional boilers operate by using a Heat Exchange process.

This exchange of heat is done through the cold water tank which flows towards the hot water cylinder providing hot water to multiple sources at a time.

The remaining hot water is then stored in the additional hot water tank for later use.
