Home Assist 365 Ltd are a successful Home Emergency repair company based in the Southwest. We work on behalf of industry leading insurance companies and due to company growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Gas Service and Repair Engineer with plumbing experience based in the BS, BA, GL, SN, or surrounding area postcodes to join us on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

With new contracts coming onboard, it is an exciting time of growth for our flexible and friendly team, and so we are looking for a Gas Engineer who is ready to ‘hit the ground running’ and has experience in the following areas.

• Routine gas appliance servicing, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs to domestic central heating systems, hot water systems and other heating appliances within the BS, BA, GL, SN postcode areas
• You will be confident in providing a first-time fix, if possible, with a high competence level of fault-finding diagnosis
• You will carry out repairs in an efficient and effective manner and provide exceptional customer service. The post holder will liaise with both internal and external customers appropriately and promptly, to ensure those connected or involved in your work are aware of progress and action taken or action required to rectify the identified defects.
• You will also ensure that relevant paperwork is completed and recorded for all appliances serviced or repaired and that all works are carried out in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

Experience and Qualifications:

Working independently within a team of engineers, the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of repairs and servicing of heating systems including open vented systems and sealed systems.

You will hold relevant qualifications (ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1) and will have a sound understanding of relevant gas regulations, related paperwork, and the need to work within a health & Safety environment in a responsible manner.

Due to the nature of the role of a Gas Engineer, it is essential that you are well organised, can work off your own initiative and have a current UK driving license.

All work is pre-booked by our office staff who provide all administrative support and liaise with our insurance clients. It is expected that the Gas Engineer will carry out between 6-8 jobs per day with travel between postcode areas. As home emergency work is reactive, your work schedule for the day may change depending upon demand so the ideal candidate will be sympathetic to this and will be flexible in their approach to work.
